I can’t recommend Cheryl highly enough. She is kind, patient, knowledgeable and genuinely goes above and beyond for her students. She had a wonderful way of calming my daughter when she was nervous and building her confidence with every lesson. Seeing how confident she has become behind the wheel has been wonderful as well as passing her test with flying colours. We are so grateful to Cheryl for all her support, encouragement and care. She didn’t just teach my daughter how to pass a driving test , she gave her the skills and confidence to become a safe, capable driver. We couldn’t have asked for a better instructor.

My daughter feared getting professional driving lessons and delayed it for as long as possible. Mostly the fear was related to driving with a stranger. Well she hit the jackpot with Cheryl who had her at ease right away. Cheryl is a seasoned professional with the bonus advantage of having high empathy, particularly for anyone who struggles with anxieties. She is absolutely invested and devoted to getting her students across the line. Officially a year since I got my licence and my test paper still takes pride of place on my fridge ?? (on my opens now! What! ??)
It’s very rare a day goes by where I don’t hear you - my little driving angel’s voice - in my head on the roads ????.
Forever grateful for you and happy to share I have done countless school drop offs, groceries galore, braved trips to Brisbane and shared the drive to Sydney! I’m now working as a support worker also and LOVING it - something that would not have been possible a year ago.

I had my very first formal driving lesson with Cheryl from DRIVEable Driving School a couple of weeks ago, and it was such a positive experience. I came in feeling very anxious, as I’ve never driven before and I also live with PTSD and hypervigilance. Cheryl was not only aware of my condition, but she handled the lesson with so much care, patience, and empathy.
She has a very encouraging way of teaching, never pushy, never judgmental, but instead supportive and reassuring. She makes you feel like you can do it, and that alone gave me more courage and hope than I expected. For someone who thought I’d never be able to learn to drive, this first lesson made me believe that it’s possible.
Cheryl has definitely made an impression as an instructor. She creates a safe, calm space and helps you look forward to the next lesson, which I never thought I’d say about driving. I highly recommend her to anyone, especially if you’re nervous or lacking confidence.

Cheryl approaches teaching learner drivers with so much compassion and understanding, providing thorough explanation and support. My daughter said after her first driving lesson ‘that was the best stranger interaction I have ever had’. I cannot recommend Cheryl highly enough. She is the perfect example of an empathetic, understanding, and patient instructor. At 33, I struggled with significant fears, anxieties, and excuses about driving, but Cheryl helped me overcome them with grace and care. Having a baby last year gave me the motivation I needed to finally tackle this challenge, and Cheryl was instrumental in guiding me through it.
She strikes the perfect balance between being a kind, supportive, and nurturing friend while also providing the firm encouragement and push you sometimes need to succeed.

I have struggled a lot with anxiety, I had my full licence but just put off driving because of my fear I had an amazing first contact with Cheryl over the phone where I explained my situation
On our first lesson she immediately put me at ease and we talked more in depth about anxiety and how it affects you
She has this very calming presence and will put you at ease straight away and will help you every step of the way

I only had one lesson with Cheryl before my driving test due to some bad organisation, but I definitely could not have passed without that lesson. She managed to get through all of the manoeuvres in only an hour with a lot of quite helpful instruction which left me feeling a lot more prepared for those manoeuvres without the lesson feeling stressful or overwhelming at all.

I was very fortunate to have Cheryl as my driving instructor, she is very professional and understanding. Cheryl is an absolute guardian angel ?? I’ve had anxiety around driving for far too long, it started to become embarrassing and debilitating as I got closer to 30 (currently 28). With Cheryl’s help, I was able to overcome that fear and passed my driving test with 100%!!!! Afterwards it felt so easy with her help that I don’t know what I had been anxious about for all those years! She is so patient and comforting, she has a real maternal vibe about her that honestly just makes you feel so supported through the whole process. The best driver instructor I have drove with or heard of. When you’re driving she is always calm no matter what, and if do something wrong, instead of yelling (like some do), she talks calmly and makes you understand what you did wrong and how to improve for next time.
