Ashmore is a delightful area backing on to the Hinterland with its beautiful scenery. The local High Schools are Benowa State High School, St. Hilda's Girls Anglican School, The Southport Boys School or TSS, Keebra Park State High School, Trinity Lutheran Private College, Emmanuel International Christian College and Aquinas Catholic College. These are all great school in Ashmore. Plus of course you are only minutes from Griffith University Gold Coast Campus and Gold Coast Institute of TAFE.
Ashmore has an array of World Sporting Events and grounds, and is home to the Australian Ladies Masters Golf Tournament, as well as the Australian PGA Championship Golf Tournament played at the World Renowned Royal Queensland Golf Club, Royal Pines Resort in Benowa, Ashmore's neighbour. There's also a wonderful Clubhouse and Pro-shop.
There is just about every Team Sport played indoors in Ashmore, such as Cricket, Netball and Soccer. And at PCYC Ashmore Sports & Activities Centre there is a wide range of sports and recreation facilities for adults and kids alike including a gym with fitness centre, after school kids club and vacation care, youth club and meeting and event planning space. There's even a bike track and bike hire, boxing, dance, and spin bike room!
Ashmore also hosts lovely local retail precincts, Ashmore Plaza Shopping Centre and Ashmore City Shopping Centre.
